Location (GPS) Settings: How To Enable

• iPhone™
  On your device:

  • Settings > Privacy > Location Services: Turn On
  • Settings > Privacy > Camera: Turn On

  We use a free app called VACAM which is available on the iTunes store. This app will automatically configure the above settings on your device when you first open it, letting you submit location tagged photos.

• Android Devices
  On your device:

  • Open "Camera" app
  • Settings > Location Settings: Turn On

  The settings button looks like a set of gears like this . If your device is in "Simple" mode, you may need to enable "Advanced" settings to find the gear icon to turn on Location tracking.
  
  * Note - when Location settings are first enabled, your phone may take some time to connect to the GPS Satellites for the first time. When taking a test photo, if the first one does not report Location, try again a few times until the GPS settings kick in.

  Send us an email to support@simplified.com with your device name and model number. It may be written on the back of the device. We have instructions for less common devices that we can send you directly.

• Getting an order number
  You should receive a link which contains the order and last name information to access this system. If you are not a client or did not receive an order number please visit simplified.com for more information. Our software is available for Lending Institutions and Property Inspection and Appraisal Management companies.
• Do I need to be connected to the Internet to complete the report?
  This questionnaire requires Internet connection to send your report and images directly to our servers. You can save and return to the report if you don't get it all finished in one go. You can take photos with your phone without being connected to the internet and then return to an area where internet connectivity is better in order to upload the results.
• What is Location (GPS) Geotagging?
  A geotagged photograph is a photograph which is associated with a geographical location by geotagging. Usually this is done by assigning at least a latitude and longitude to the image.
